Excellent communication from start to finish. During the initial meeting, owner Vasilie Kukharchuk provided technical details about the CertainTeed roofing system he installs and thoroughly described all costs and how the work and cleanup would be done. His crew was professional, courteous, and for a roof job, surprisingly quiet, with little disruption. The crew worked cleanly, replacing the entire roof, skylight and gutters in one day. Vasilie addressed my concerns about the more vulnerable sections of the roof, adding a gutter on the upstairs dormer where one did not previously exist. This worked to eliminate splash back and will also allow winter ice build-up to melt into the gutter instead of running down the siding. The dormer downspout even matches the color of the shingles! Love the new solar skylight, whisper quiet and air tight. Not so easy to find a roofer who will do skylights. Roof looks gorgeous. I can absolutely recommend Major Home Improvements, great workmanship, competitive price, honest people. Carlotta Perrone Source: Google
From the moment I made contact to the last task performed I dealt with nobody who wasn't the most professional that they could be. The owner is pleasant and straight forward, the gentleman who priced the job was congenial and helpful with suggestions, the lead crew was very helpful, and the crew were awesome guys. It was a wonderful experience and I will always consider Major Home Improvement when I need work done in my house. I highly recommend this team. prlove71 . Source: Google

Roofing contractors and what to look out for
Getting a new roof installed is not your average DIY job. Roof installation is more of a trade than some hobby that someone can pick up at home. Roofing contractors Vernon can help you with things like roof replacement, new roof cost, and other things. When your home needs a new roof you need to know what to look out for when looking at contractors.
Some simple basics
The first thing that you would want to do is a search on-line for "roofing companies" or "roofers near me". When you get a set of contractors then you can start looking at them more closely. There are a few things that you can do from here. You can look at their reviews from past customers, if they have a website see if it's up to date, and finally see if you can get any referrals from people in person. When you have some roofing contractors Vernon, CT on your checklist, then you can move on from here.
When you have a set of contractors and your deciding which one to go with, it's a good idea to get estimates. This way you can see if the contractors that you're working with are setting a fair price for the job that you want to be done. If you do see something wrong like a much higher price or some fee, then now is the time to ask.
A contract is meant to protect both parties. It's used for when there is a disagreement on what work was going to be done and what the expectations are. Always make sure that the contractor you go with uses a clear contract that you can understand.
Getting a new roof can get complicated and hiring the right contractor is a big decision. Always check for local contractors first and see if their reviews are good. When you get them separated get estimates and make sure they use easy to read contracts. If you follow these steps, then getting that roofing job done will be a lot smoother.
